Tropicana Homes’ $50,000 matching commitment will double community donations during the Days of Giving campaign, helping fund specially adapted homes for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans.
El Paso, TX- June 20, 2026- Tropicana Homes is proud to announce a $50,000 matching commitment in support of Homes For Our Troops’ (HFOT) Days of Giving campaign. From July 1 through July 14, every dollar donated by the community will be matched by Tropicana Homes and other generous supporters, helping accelerate the construction of specially adapted homes for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans.
Through this matching campaign, Tropicana Homes is encouraging the El Paso community to join in supporting America’s injured Veterans by doubling the impact of every donation and helping more Veterans regain independence.
In addition to its financial contribution, Tropicana Homes was honored to assist Homes For Our Troops in the construction of a specially adapted custom home for U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Pascual Delgado. The home was designed to meet Sergeant Delgado’s unique needs, helping restore independence and providing a safer, more accessible environment for him and his family.
“At Tropicana Homes, we believe those who have sacrificed so much for our country deserve our gratitude and our action,” said Randy Bowling, President of Tropicana Homes. “By serving as a matching sponsor for Homes For Our Troops’ Days of Giving campaign, we hope to inspire our community to give, knowing that every dollar donated goes twice as far in helping our nation’s heroes rebuild their lives.”
From July 1 through July 14, Homes For Our Troops is working to raise $1 million through its Days of Giving campaign to fund the construction and donation of specially adapted custom homes for severely injured Veterans. Thanks to matching contributions from Tropicana Homes and other generous supporters, every donation during the campaign could make an even greater impact.
Community members who would like to support this mission can donate by visiting Donate to Homes For Our Troops. Severely injured post-9/11 Veterans interested in receiving a specially adapted custom home can also visit the website to learn more about eligibility requirements and apply for assistance.
Through partnerships, generosity, and community support, Homes For Our Troops continues to empower injured Veterans by providing mortgage-free homes that enable them to rebuild their lives with greater independence, dignity, and hope. **“We are proud to work with such a first class home builder as Tropicana Homes,” said HFOT Executive Director Bill Ivey. “Their high quality craftsmanship has provided an adapted home that will last a lifetime for Staff Sergeant Delgado and his family.” **
About Homes For Our Troops: Homes For Our Troops (HFOT) is a publicly funded 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that builds and donates specially adapted custom homes nationwide to severely injured post-9/11 Veterans, to enable them to rebuild their lives. Most of these Veterans have sustained life-altering injuries including multiple limb amputations, partial or full paralysis, and/or severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). These homes restore some of the freedom and independence our Veterans sacrificed while defending our country, and enable them to focus on their family, recovery, and rebuilding their lives. HFOT builds these homes where the Veteran chooses to live and continues its relationship with the Veterans after home delivery to assist them with rebuilding their lives. Since its inception in 2004, nearly ninety cents of every dollar spent has gone directly to our program services supporting Veterans. HFOT has built over 439 specially adapted custom homes, 71 ongoing projects, and another 1,800+ Veterans who may qualify. For more information, visit www.hfotusa.org.
